the public talk was "what is truth".
in it, the speaker said, "the truth can stand up to any scrutiny.
The speaker also said check the facts yourself. He said don't take our word for it! I could feel the tension in the air of all of the momentary awakeness of the audience that lasted only two seconds.
This short lived moment was worth putting up with the entire weekend.
"there is a symposium with a talk about "human apostates" that is very slanderous and defamatory and has the ex-jw blogosphere up in arms over it.".
if a person doesn't fit the description outlined in this talk, the talk isn't referring to you.. .

For some reason this letter was not mentioned at my DC? I told my wife about it and that she could read the letter for herself and it was never mentioned?
The way I see it is we are just whistle blowers and are not looking for any following. They can't tell what the apostates really are in their talk as that would give to much away that they are trying to hide.

the natick, ma assemble hall used to have it's own room for breastfeeding mothers.
they changed this room to the accounting room or something like that and now have seats available for breastfeeding inside the bathroom.. there is one other small room available for breastfeeding but they close that off when the baptism is going on.
needless to say, i used to get so pissed off that they actually wanted me to breastfeed in the bathroom that i would threaten to a brother that i would take my boob out in front of everybody and that is there problem because breastfeeding in a bathroom is unsanitary.. one year they put me in some backroom.
At last CA a sister breast fed in the row right in front of me. No one seemed to care. I was surprised though, more power to her!
i'm just back from the meeting where it was a video presentation given by the circuit overseer.
apparently it's not on general release, only being viewed during co visits at the moment.

in the watchtower study article for last week, june 3rd - 9th, 2013, the congregation was asked the question, "is your teaching up-to-date?".
there was a box on the top of page 9 that asked three questions allowing everyone to test themselves and find out if they had "up-to-date" and "accurate knowledge" in keeping with the "the ever-increasing light" as revealed through the pages of the watchtower magazine and related publications.
now at first blush this all sounds really good, but is it?
And I also noticed that Paul brought him and others up to speed with just a couple of sentences.

An elder in my congo said he called a relative at headquarters and they said they are having a hard time keeping up with the demand in other languages. I felt like he was making this up but I am not sure. Are bibles out of stock in any other languages besides english?

so i got to thinking about the wtbts's doctrine.
The second death is the one we must worry about. So the first death is only of the physical body and not the person.

so i woke up a few months ago and had no idea what to expect.
at first i was outraged that i had been lied to all these years and so sad that i lost so many years of my life to a cult.
in the past couple of weeks though, i've actually been having second thoughts.
In the same boat here, just when I am ready to walk away my love for family and friends makes me change my mind. Good advice given though to take our time and when the time is right we can both do the best thing for ourselves.
